SUMMARY:Webinar - Tax Credits & COBRA Benefits Under the American Rescue Plan
DESCRIPTION:WHAT WILL BE DISCUSSED? \nThe American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) includes the extension of COBRA subsidies to plan participants who were terminated involuntarily and eligible for COBRA benefits\, as well as Sick and Family Leave paid due to COVID-19 and/or paid due to reactions to the Vaccine\, as provided under the Act. The subsidies are available to eligible former plan participants for health coverage they elect through COBRA from April 1\, 2021 – September 30\, 2021\, and the eligible Sick and Family Leave paid for COVID-19 and Vaccinations. Employers who extend these benefits are eligible to be reimbursed through refundable tax credit against their Medicare taxes with their Form 941 filing.
